Here you will find the drawn or painted portraits by the artist, Wendy Fang. I welcome you to please browse through the gallery. Each piece of work intends to capture the unique character of each individual. Over the years a wide variety of mediums such as ink, watercolour, copic markers, graphite, charcoal and coloured pencils were skillfully used.
I have established myself as a sport artist that specifies in drawing from the Western Hockey League. I have ventured in drawing from other leagues such as the NHL, the ECHL, the Alberta Junior Hockey League and many more.
My passion of art combined with hockey, created a yearly commitment to draw portraits of my favourite hockey teams in NHL. In 2012 I made the transition into the Western Hockey League. I would like to recognize and give out a great heartfelt thank you to those who have continued to support me since Year 1 of WHL portraits. I wish I could draw all 500 players in one season but my hands do not work quite like that. I embraced the specific niche I have chosen and one that I have found to love with a each passing year. I have met so many amazing young players, families, and wonderful Dub fans. Thank you!
